In August, Marksmen returned for the first full year on campus since 2019. Opening Convocation was held outdoors, with 903 boys gathered in the Quad. Student Council President Alex Geng ’22 challenged his fellow students to "go out there, take it all in and leave your mark.
Lion Champions
The Lions enjoyed an outstanding 2021-2022 season, securing three SPC Championships (volleyball, cross country and track and field), in addition to numerous individual first-place athletes. The water polo team also successfully defended its State Championship title.
Presidential Scholar
Tomek Marczewski ’22 was one of only 161 students nationwide selected as a U.S. Presidential Scholar in Arts.
Senior Support
The Class of 2022 surpassed all expectations for its Senior Auction. While the funds support many senior year activities, the Class decided to allocate $50,000 to establish the Class of 2022 Scholarship Endowment Fund.
Holiday Traditions
The St. Mark's community celebrated the holidays with the return of many beloved traditions, including Lessons & Carols in the Chapel, senior buddy meetups and the All-School Christmas Party.

St. Mark's parents gathered "Under the Big Top" for one of the most unforgettable Celebrate St. Mark's to date.
Lessons in Civil Discourse
The School welcomed a slate of impressive visitors throughout the year, including the world-renowned duo of Professors Cornel West and Robert George. The pair of political opposites encouraged boys to embrace other viewpoints with respect and an open mind.
Celebrating a Multicultural Community
Hundreds of community members celebrated the unique spectrum of diversity at St. Mark’s at the first Marksmen Multicultural Night, organized by the student-led Inclusion and Diversity Leadership Council.
The Class of 2022
As the school year concluded, 99 members of the Class of 2022 donned white dinner jackets, gathered in the Ida M. and Cecil H. Green Commencement Theatre and joined the ranks of St. Mark’s alumni.
