Scott Jolly, Assistant Headmaster for External Affairs

The extraordinary philanthropic support of our unique community and collective belief in our mission fuel the St. Mark’s experience. The commitment of our alumni, families, and dear friends is inspiring. Engagements on campus and at regional events for parents, alumni and grandparents afforded opportunities to connect meaningfully in the life of the School in Dallas and across the country – including a unique gathering for close to 200 alumni to witness the solar eclipse at 10600 Preston Road. The devotion of St. Mark’s champions propelled us forward in another seminal year of generosity that will impact the School for generations.

The Board of Trustees, Parents’ Association, Alumni Board, and student body provided exceptional leadership throughout the year in seen and unseen ways. Enduring relationships and a deep well of faith and trust in our mission compelled tremendous generosity. Parents, alumni, and friends contributed another high watermark in philanthropic support for the St. Mark’s Fund alongside investments in the Zierk Athletic Center and endowment gifts supporting students, teachers, and programs. The Class of 2024 exemplified the ideals of a Marksman by establishing an endowed fund earmarked for Access & Affordability initiatives and paying it forward. 2023-2024 was a special year and represented progress towards our ambitious goals for the future.

While there are many people in our community deserving of thanks, in particular, I am deeply grateful for the leadership and support of the Development Committee, and the partnership provided by Chair Alan Schoellkopf ’91. In addition, I would like to thank and recognize St. Mark’s Fund Chairs Maggie and Jim Moran ’01, Michelle and Josh Lobel, Jennifer and Alvaro Saenz, Jon Myhre ’96, and Mark Butler ’08, as well as the army of alumni and parent class agents and volunteers for their commitment and advocacy. It is an honor to work alongside these partners at such a wonderful institution. Your generosity and dedication have a lasting impact at St. Mark’s.

It is with pleasure that we present the digital version of the 2023-2024 Annual Report. Our goal is to provide you with a comprehensive and interactive assessment of the activities and achievements of the past fiscal year.

Again, thank you for your steadfast support and for making the progress and accomplishments highlighted in this report possible. Your gifts leave an indelible mark on our School.
